Award-winning European jazz star in Tartu!

 

iDeeJazz invites you to the ERM bridge area on April 18, starting at 19:00, to experience a spring jazz experience, when the Polish jazz superstar, bass virtuoso Kinga Głyk, will take the stage!

This special evening offers a unique opportunity to experience the youthful creative brilliance and virtuosic firework of the bass guitar of an artist who tours the world's major concert stages.

Kinga Głyk will present in Tartu his fifth album called "Real Life", which will be released by the renowned record company Warner Music Group and which will feature a very strong line-up of musicians, including Robert "Sput" Searight, Casey Benjamin, Brett Williams, Nicholas Semrad, Julian Pollack, Celeb Sean McCambell and Grégoire Mare. The album was co-produced by Snarky Puppy founder Michael League.

In 2021, Kinga Głyk was nominated for the prestigious German music award by the Deutscher Jazz Press in the category “String Instruments International” together with such world jazz greats as Christian McBride and Wolfgang Muthspiel. He also received the prestigious "Polish Music Coryfee" award, and in 2020, Kinga Głyk was awarded the GRAND PRIX in the "New Hope of Polish Jazz Melomani 2019" category.

Kinga has performed at many music festivals in various countries including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Indonesia, Portugal, Italy, France, Slovakia, Ukraine and Norway. 

In 2017, he had the extraordinary opportunity to perform at the Leverkusen festival with the legendary Marcus Miller.
